Reflecting on a Financial Career and the Impact of SP Jain Global’s Professional Excellence Award
How did your finance and wealth management education at SP Jain Global contribute to your career progression and achievements?
My career in finance began with a solid foundation at SP Jain Global. The program’s emphasis on finance and wealth management gave me essential knowledge. However, the exposure to Dubai, Singapore, and Canada and learning from diverse peers and industry leaders in each city opened my eyes to global finance and broadened my perspective.
Furthermore, the industrial projects in the two cities proved to be invaluable. These projects gave us firsthand experience of local cultures, corporate structures, and the specific knowledge and skills required to thrive in a global corporate setting.
Could you share insights into how your active involvement in SP Jain Global’s Clubs or groups shaped your leadership ability?
Being an active SP Jain Global’s Finance Club member allowed me to delve deeper into finance while honing my leadership skills. While organising workshops, speaker sessions, and even a stock market competition with a corporate partner, I expanded my knowledge and helped simplify complex financial concepts for my peers. This experience taught me the value of teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability – skills that have been invaluable in navigating my career. My involvement extends to alum groups, where I continue to learn from and connect with professionals across various fields. This ongoing engagement has further strengthened my networking and collaboration abilities, contributing to my success in the corporate world.
Can you elaborate on the significance of your Industry Project experience facilitated by SP Jain Global and how it contributed to your career path?
The Industrial Project was a game changer. Working with real-world organisations such as DTZ Barnicke Ltd., a prominent real estate consultant firm in Canada, and Frontline Capital, a specialist private equity firm in Singapore, provided me with valuable practical experience. These activities allowed me to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations and introduced me to various company cultures, increasing my understanding of the local business landscape. These experiences helped me strengthen my professional skills, expand my industry network, and better understand my career path.
What special awards, achievements, and milestones have you reached throughout your career, and how have they impacted your professional journey?
I feel blessed to be recognised for my work year after year. SP Jain Global’s “Professional Excellence Award” and the “Associate of the Year” award at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth will always remain my crown jewels as the support and encouragement that I have received from my alma mater and Motilal Oswal Private Wealth has helped me grow both personally and professionally. For this, I shall be forever grateful. I have also been recognised as a “40 under 40 Achiever” by Equalifi, “Most Influential Financial Services Marketing Professional” by the World Marketing Congress & Awards and “101 Top Most Influential BFSI Leaders” at the ET NOW World Congress Awards. These accolades at prestigious industry forums and recognition for my hard work have motivated me to strive for excellence and push my boundaries.
How did SP Jain Global uniquely prepare you for success in the financial services industry?
SP Jain Global’s innovative “twin city” strategy exposed me to the business cultures of Dubai and Singapore. I have also got a chance to visit Canada as part of this program. This international experience broadened my grasp of finance and taught me how to adapt to various corporate procedures and cultural circumstances. It also helped me become an effective decision-maker and communicator, an essential quality for today’s leaders. The program’s emphasis on real-world experiences and engaging sessions by the visiting faculty gave me the tools to make informed judgments. Learning the nuances of the finance world from industry leaders has been a game changer. I also made lifelong friendships and connections; it is heart-warming that our paths now cross professionally.
