From Factory Floor to Executive Suite: My Journey with SP Jain Global’s Executive MBA
|My journey from a mechanical engineer to a factory manager in the competitive manufacturing world has been continuous growth and learning. With over 18 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and a commendable tenure at Alfanar—it builds efficient energy systems & solutions of the present.
My decision to pursue an Executive MBA from SP Jain Global was driven by my ambition to relocate to Australia and the recognition of SP Jain Global’s degree. The program’s reputation and comprehensive curriculum attracted me to join and expand my horizons. The name of B-school itself was a significant draw for me.
In my current role, I leverage the skills and knowledge gained from the EMBA program to address day-to-day challenges and enhance communication within my team. I utilise what I have learned from my EMBA to resolve issues and improve communications. The program’s practical approach has enabled me to implement innovative solutions and drive efficiency in the Metal Fabrication Division.
One of the standout aspects of my EMBA experience was the ‘Problems At Work’ approach. I recall a recent incident where I applied the same approach used by South Pacific Airlines to motivate my entire team, leading to remarkable results. This example underscores the program’s real-world applicability and impact on my professional growth.
When I led the Ladies Factory Division, I applied what I had learned to draft and craft unique ideas, always considering situations from different perspectives. To celebrate International Women’s Day, I proposed organising the first-ever Blood Donation Camp for women in the company, aiming to demonstrate their strength and social responsibility. This initiative was well-received by both the management and the Ministry of Health, leading to my recognition and advancement within the organisation. This success highlights the profound impact of innovative thinking and proactive leadership. I attribute this prestigious award to SP Jain Global’s’ out-of-the-box thinking.
To other professionals considering an Executive MBA, my advice is to trust the faculty and learn from SP Jain Global’s EMBA program. Use it in your day-to-day work life and experience the change. My journey exemplifies how education and mindset can lead to significant professional achievements and personal growth. I hope my story inspires all professionals striving to achieve excellence through continuous learning and application
