Alumnus Prakarsh Jain leads funding bid for CSR Venture
Prakarsh currently heads the Finance department of EduBridge Learning , a skill development and vocational training organization based in India that provides services to the youth in semi-urban areas recently raised US$ 2.5 Million in a series A round led by Insitor Impact Asia Fund and Acumen Fund.
Prakarsh Jain, our Gold Medalist Alumni of the MGB-2012 intake and a Chartered Accountant heads the finance vertical of the company since the past two years and lead the funding round individually to bring about a successful closure.
The company has been setup with the vision of fulfilling the skill gap that exists currently between semi-urban/economically backward youth and the skill requirements of the high-performing companies. The firm plans to use the funds to expand operations as well as strengthen their existing presence. In addition, it also plans to introduce a blended model of online and offline training through technolgical solutions for the youth.
The startup currently has 60 training centres and claims to have trained more than 50,000 underemployed/unemployed youth with an impeccable placement record. The company also has several corporate tie-ups for implementation of their CSR funds towards Skill Development.
Kudos to Prakarsh and EduBridge for this remarkable achievement ! !
