Purpose and Commitment Leads You Way Beyond
Back in 2017, intending to equip myself with managerial and leadership skills, I enrolled for the Executive MBA at SP Jain Global School of Management – a weekend program specially curated for working professionals. The rigorous 18-month MBA at SP Jain’s Mumbai campus enabled me to gain advanced management expertise and gain global exposure, enhance my decision-making and leadership skill set, as well as position myself as a resilient business professional. The application-based curriculum empowered me to make an immediate impact at work while preparing for the annual Applied Strategic Project helped me and develop the skills needed to experience unmatched career progress.
In January 2020, I received my MBA degree along with a Dean’s List Award for my academic performance. At work, I was recognised as a highly motivated and result-oriented business associate. Subsequently, I was given an additional responsibility of Marketing & Communication to increase the company’s brand visibility. At this point, I was geared up and ready to take a leap into my career advancement. However, the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic was unforgiving to the world, imposing cessation on possible growth opportunities. At this challenging time, the knowledge acquired from the EMBA program and peer-to-peer learning empowered me to hold my ground firmly. It was at this moment that I was truly grateful for the opportunity I’d received to learn from SP Jain’s world-class faculty and a cohort with an aggregate experience of 200+ years.
Applying marketing mix modelling and cost optimisation measures, I channelled my efforts in fulfilling the zero-budget communication strategy, resulting in a reach of 25+ million through various media channels (newspapers, magazines, TV channels, and social media). In addition, my institution was honoured with over 20 awards at the district, state, and national level for our network schools and pre-schools on various competitive forums.
In the past 16 years, I have worked with a variety of businesses and business leaders in the fields of logistics, pharma, industrial equipment, infrastructure, technology licensing, and education. While diligently working with the senior management team, I’ve always added value to the on-hand assignments. However, with the recent diverse know-how upskilling, I was able to achieve additional goals by implementing agents of change in the current constrained and challenging business environment.
Today, I thank SP Jain for enabling me to outshine and accomplish my personal and professional goals. The passion ignited in me will continue to excel and achieve the best outcomes in all future assignments.
I’d like to end by quoting our former President Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam – “Look at the sky, we are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work.”
